  Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Photorejuvenation

  What Is A Photo Facial?
Photo Facials, or Intense Pulsed Light Photorejuvenation, represents an exciting procedure designed to produce younger and healthier looking skin. Based on studies performed at Skin Laser & Surgery Specialists of New York and New Jersey, and published in peer-reviewed journals, we know that Photo Facials can create new collagen in the skin.

Who Benefits From A Photo Facial?
As most of us age we begin to see small but visible signs of sun damage appearing in our complexion. This may include freckles, broken capillaries, dark spots, a blotchy skin color and redness of the face and neck. Photo Facials can be used to treat vascular redness, pigmented brown spots, sun damage, and collagen structure all at once. Treatments require less than 15 minutes. With the use of this exciting new technology, dramatic improvements can now be accomplished with little or no “downtime” and with very minimal discomfort. Photo Facials can be used in an anti-aging program in people as young as 20 years old.

What Does The Skin Look Like After A Photofacial?

Immediately after treatment the area will feel somewhat warm and pink in color. Occasionally there can be some mild swelling and bruising. These usually resolve rapidly and are easy to cover with make-up. Most patients can typically return to work immediately after treatment.

  How Many Sessions Are Required?

Generally a series of Photo Facials leads to optimal results. Most patients receive between four and eight sessions. Periodic re-treatments are required to optimize long-term results.

How Do I Find Out If I Am A Candidate For Intense Pulsed Light Photorejuvenation?
