There is no other center in the world that offers the diversity of laser and cosmetic dermatology treatments that is available to patients of the Skin Laser & Surgery Specialists of New York and New Jersey. Under the direction of David J. Goldberg, M.D., the Centers are internationally recognized for breaking new ground in cosmetic and dermatology laser procedures.
Much of the early work on laser resurfacing of aged and wrinkled skin, skin rejuvenation, new botulinum toxins, wrinkle fillers and removal of unwanted hair was pioneered at our facilities. Throughout the years many of Dr. Goldberg’s groundbreaking studies have been published and are used as guides by laser practitioners around the world.

Currently we are involved in a variety of FDA studies evaluating the use of new wrinkle fillers, cellulite and body sculpturing treatments, botulinum toxin injections, fat removal techniques, and fractional skin resurfacing lasers. |

We are currently evaluating a variety of new wrinkle fillers. These include robust new hyaluronic acids from Mentor and Allergan, new calcium hydroxyapatite materials from Coapt and new and innovative uses of Bioform’s Radiesse and Johnson & Johnson’s Evolence. |

The new technologies for the treatment of cellulite and body sculpturing are among the most exciting in our research program. We have been a major study site for Alma’s Accent radiofrequency treatment and currently are evaluating the new UltraShape focused ultrasound technology. |

Botox botulinum toxin injections have added so much to the treatment of a variety of wrinkles. We are currently performing FDA studies on both the new Medicis Reloxin and Mentor PurTox botulinum toxins. |

New techniques for removing unwanted fat represent a significant component of our research program. We are currently involved in trials for Kythera’s deoxycholate fat melting injections and Zeltiq’s cryolipolysis approach. |

Finally, new fractional lasers are being developed for aging and sun damaged skin. Our studies for the Reliant Fraxel re:pair, Lumenis Deep FX, Hoya fractional erbium, Cuteras’s fractional Pearl and Primaeva fractional radiofrequency technologies are ongoing |
